Ian August is an actor, lyricist and playwright.  His full length plays include Natural History, Submitted by C. Randall McCloskey, and Missing Celia Rose (semi-finalist for the Princess Grace Awards - 2005) which premiered at the 2007 NYC Summer Play Festival at the Beckett Theatre, Theatre Row.   He is a winner of the Samuel French Inc. Off-Off Broadway Short Play Competition (2006) with his short comedy, Le Supermarché, which was recently published in a Sam French anthology.  Three of his shorts, Le Supermarché, Abraham on the Mount and The Saga of Ginny have been performed at the NJ Repertory Company in Long Branch, NJ as part their Annual Theater Brut one-act festival (2005 and 2006).  In addition, his short play Endings: A Symposium was performed in February 2007 at the Passage Theater in Trenton, NJ. Other short plays include How to Survive in Corporate America (Rapscallion Theatre Collective, NYC), Godfrey (NativeAliens Theatre Collective, NYC), The Title Fight (Sam French Festival, 2006, NYC), and Touching Fingers.  Ian is one of the founding members of Stage One, a playwriting group developed through the Passage Theater in Trenton, NJ.
