My Mother's Luck - Toronto, mid-1930s. A mother is resting her feet after a long day's work in her beauty salon. She speaks to her daughter; the young girl has secretly made plans to return to Germany to live with her father, and the Mother is deciding if she will allow her. Cast: Two females.

The Shield - A young woman talks about the life of her cabbie father, and relives the last minutes of his life. Cast: One female, one male.

The Boy on the Wall - The mother of a young soldier killed in the war is unveiling a plaque in her church, honouring the war dead. She has rehearsed her speech, but finds herself unable to stick to her prepared text. Cast: One male, one female.

Holding Her Alive -  A son visits his mother in the hospital. What follows is a kind of dance. One of them is dying.  Cast: One female, one male.
